The journal publishes original articles on the flora and fauna of aquatic bodies, biology, morphology, taxonomy, ecology of aquatic organisms, ethology, ecological physiology and biochemistry of aquatic organisms, the structure and functioning of aquatic ecosystems, anthropogenic impacts on aquatic organisms and ecosystems, and methods of hydrobiological research.
